  1. Please tell us about yourself

Hi! I’m Marion BEN-LISA,

I’m 26 years old, and I am a graphic designer who is passionate about visual arts and illustrations. I am based in Provence, in the south of France.

After 5 years of study and 2 years spent in a communication agency, I decided to start my own business in order to take the time to carry out more illustration projects. My goal was to be independent and make my own choices in terms of artistic direction.

2. Most of your work is female portraits. Why did you choose this?

You’re right! I like to draw powerful, supportive, and inspiring women.

I am also very interested by faces and their representation. The idea is to convey a strong emotion, despite minimalist curves. I work with flat design, and flash colors.

I especially enjoy working within the fashion and cultural fields, or for people driven by social engagement. I truly believe that visual communication has a big role to play for a more inclusive society.

3. What was your experience like working on Boss Beauties™?

Working on Boss Beauties was one of my biggest collaborations of the year, and this project allowed me to discover the world of NFTs.

Everything was completely new to me. So, I had to set up a new way of working, to be able to create not a single illustration but hundreds of individual items that could all work together.

It was intense!

Working closely with Anthony and Lisa, I designed a template and different physical aspects; more than 40 costumes and many accessories.

Each combination had to be fun, strong and original. We ended up creating a whole universe!

4. What does it mean to you to be a Boss Beauty™?

When Lisa and Anthony told me about the Boss Beauties project, the idea of highlight young women immediately appealed to me. In our discussions, we quickly shared our hopes and our vision for a better society for young girls around the world.

Being a Boss Beauty means being confident in who you are and not being afraid to follow your dreams.

In France, I was lucky enough to be able to follow the studies that interested me, to become a graphic designer and then an illustrator. Today, I am independent and I have the opportunity to do some fantastic projects.

All young girls should be able to pursue their ambitions and become what they want!
